Delta Region Volleyball

Thank you for wanting to host a Tournament in the Delta Region! The Delta Region encourages all member clubs to host sanctioned USA Volleyball tournaments.  

Hosting a tournament can be beneficial to your club program in many ways. As well as offering the opportunity to compete without the expenses associated with traveling; it is also a great way to expose your parents to the structure of club volleyball, provide community awareness and establish your club within the region. However, to accomplish this, you must run a successful event by carefully planning the entire tournament.

The guidelines and policies outlined in the  Delta Region Tournament Guidebook will help you organize your event and understand your responsibilities, as well as restrictions. These guidelines were developed through the Delta Region and are not to be deviated from unless approved by the Commissioner.

In order to apply for an tournament sanctioning, the Tournament Director must follow the below minimum standards: 

1) All Tournament  Directors must be a current member of USA Volleyball, passed a background screening, and be SafeSport trained for the current season.  Any hired officials must be USAV members with the appropriate SafeSport certification and current background screening.  If participating club coaches will be expected to officiate matches, it should be advertised in advance and the registration fee adjusted accordingly.

2) Event must be implemented exactly as indicated on the Event Application, Delta Region Tournament Guidebook and as approved by the Region.

3) All teams participating in USA Volleyball/Delta Region sanctioned events must be current members of a USA Volleyball Region.

4) The Delta Region will only advertise sanctioned USA Volleyball and Delta Region Events.
